His Plan

Bok bok! Prvo, let me just say these last few days have been life changing. We all made it to Zagreb after a long flight and had some great experiences teaching in Croatian on the plane and at the airport! Since arriving, there has been a lot of tedious paperwork and instruction so that we could get phones, visas, and driving privileges. But on the other hand, we have spent a lot of time out on the streets of Zagreb meeting people and seeing the sights/trying the food and ice cream. President and Sister Field have been super welcoming as well as the APs! We went to the chapel and got to zoom into church on Sunday (it was their first meeting since October!) And there is a baptism taking place on Saturday which is also jako predivno!! I am loving this experience and have seen some of the most beautiful architecture and landscapes that I have ever been around. The people are amazing and God has blessed us with a lot of opportunities to share the gospel already :) it is completely different...

He's Here!!

Brother and Sister Neil:      He is here!  Happy, fed, excited and tired!   Attached is a picture of Elder Neil with President and Sister Field taken at the hotel he will be staying in – Le Premiere, Zagreb, Croatia.     Don’t hesitate to ask questions – we will take good care of your wonderful missionary!     Also, attached is some communication information.  When you get a call from your missionary, please review these guidelines so everyone has a clear understanding of what is expected.     Thank you!     Sister Fuhriman Adriatic North Mission Office

Here We Go!

Ajmo!! Our travel plans came in officially yesterday, and I'll be flying out on Friday to Houston, from there to Frankfurt, Germany, and from there to Zagreb, Croatia! I'll be finishing up the MTC there as well as seeing the sights and culture of Zagreb for a couple weeks! It's still very surreal, but I am so excited to meet the people and begin this experience in the Balkans! We'll be staying in a sweet 5-star hotel with missionaries quarantining from all the surrounding missions and the sisters will be in what's called the "mission palace" (a duke used to live there), so we're all pretty stoked for that.  This week was full of opportunities and light. I saw a lot of friends from BYU in the virtual MTC this week which was really fun and inspiring to see us all on this journey together! I also had a lot of experiences following the Spirit and sharing the gospel. God truly puts people into our paths and lives. Today I am so grateful for those in my li...

No Effort Is Wasted

Zdravo! This week was jako brzo (very quick) and every day seems shorter and shorter as we near our departure date. We are still waiting on our flight plans, but it's time to start checking the lists and making sure I have all the visa paperwork ready to go.  I am going to keep this part of the email short but a miracle I had this week was being able to go through the Portland Temple for my friend Jace Chatman's endowment before he heads out to Ghana! Going through for a second time allowed me to really learn and embrace the spirit in the House of the Lord. It was a beautiful and sacred experience. My love for my family, this gospel, and all of God's children is growing every day, and I am grateful that I have this opportunity to forget myself and go to work!  Scripture highlight this week: D&C 123:15-17:  "Let no man count them as small things; for there is much which lieth in futurity...which depends upon these things...therefore...let us cheerfully do all...

With Full Purpose of Heart

Halfway through the MTC!   This week we passed the halfway mark from when we started until when we leave for Zagreb! It is already crazy looking back at where we were three weeks ago. My companion and I are still teaching Matthew, and are excited to see how that goes over the next couple weeks!      I was at the coast for a few days (see picture) which was a big struggle...sitting in class watching the waves break against the rocks outside knowing I can't get in the water...haha I'm joking it was a great experience! I got to meet a few of my aunt's friends and I am very inspired and humbled by their experiences and the amazing people they are.      I was very blessed to be here while my sister Maddie had her baby! That was a huge miracle because I thought that I would be away from home at the MTC when she had him, but since I am at home I was able to call her and see the baby!      As far as the MTC goes, our district continues to unify ...
