Simple Truths

Image
Bit of a crazy week, we got COVID and are on the up but we saw lots of miracles even from inside our century-old apartment! We got tons of Facebook referalls the past few days and nearly all of them were so open and honest about wanting to learn about their Heavenly Father and what His plan is for them. Just such genuine, prepared people. As a missionary, you can go for a while looking just about everywhere for those kind of people but to no avail. So to have THEM look for US is such a miracle in and of itself!  As we taught these people, I gained a new appreciation for the simple truths of the gospel. I love how simple and pure it all is. Just the truth that God lives and loves you is life-changing! When someone really believes that and chooses to reach out to God, miracles happen! They find the peace they are searching for and strength to overcome anything they are faced with. "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. Ask Him!

They are each so powerful in their own way, but what really stood out to me was their united focus on Jesus Christ. Each one of them, just a few weeks out in the field, showed by their words and actions how much they love the Savior and want to bring others t...

I Love The Gospel!

All right, story time! So this week after a lot of fellowshipping we invited a sister in the branch to join on a zoom lesson with our friend getting baptized soon. We helped her prepare and feel ready to teach with us before and from the get-go, she was right there for our friend, helping answer her questions, offer support, and showing genuine love. The Spirit guided the lesson and the sister had the opportunity to share her personal experiences that really connected and brought authenticity and feeling. The lesson was amazing, but the real miracle took place after. We called our member friend and asked her how she was feeling. In tears, she said "You have no idea how much that meant to me. I felt the Spirit of missionary work and again tonight for the first time in so long and I'm here to help with whatever you need going forward. Thank you so much, you made my night." I can't explain how much the work elevates with the added support and testimony a converted member...
