Rolling Away The Stone

This week FLEW by! We were abounding this week in miracles, lessons, and pure exhaustion  haha. It was honestly amazing, we taught a few really active members that live farther away and got to hear their conversion stories and help them progress in making and keeping further covenants. We also found a few new people through a returning member and another lady that had been lost in our area book. I couldn't believe how prepared they were and willing to keep commitments! And to top it off, we put our friend on date for baptism and she is super excited!! It was a great week and it was all thanks to a loving Heavenly Father who worked through us to bless His children. I am always so grateful that He trusts us enough to give us opportunities to help in this work!

I love the story in the Bible of Christ raising Lazarus from the dead. This week I pondered about a particular detail of the story. Before performing the miracle, Christ first asked the people to roll away the stone. To do something to show their faith before the miracle took place. He didn't necessarily need them to move it, but He knew that they needed to. When it feels like you're rolling away that stone, putting in effort even when you're not sure of the impact your efforts will have, remember that you are showing your faith so that Christ can work His miracles. No effort is wasted!
