Working Hard And Feeling The Spirit

Bok bok!! (not like a chicken)

Compared to those first few days of the MTC, this week has flown by! And while I am used to the schedule now, the learning has definitely ramped up. I love understanding the more intricate parts of the hrvatski (Croatian) language, even though it is such a shift from English. And my studies within the scriptures are more meaningful than they ever have been. My mind and body might be exhausted but I can feel the Spirit so strong!

This week Starješina Garlick and I were able to teach our friend Amanda in a few TRC's (we say "friend" instead of "investigator"). TRC stands for Teaching Resource Center, and it gives us an opportunity to meet with someone, usually just acting as a non-member, and teach them the gospel virtually. While understanding and teaching her was very difficult and took time, we enjoyed success in the end. We were able to invite her to read the First Vision, and pray to know of its truthfulness! It was really amazing to see how much love I felt for her as we taught her of Christ and worked through her questions and struggles. My companion and I both had a very powerful experience with her yesterday as we bore our testimonies to her. (we both called each other after the meeting ended and were like WOW WHAT JUST HAPPENED?! We were truly able to be conduits of God's love and feel what He feels for each of His children)

Our district is closer than ever; whether we're sharing our most embarrassing stories or our testimonies of the Book of Mormon, we are such a powerful team and I know we have the potential to make a huge impact in the Adriatic North.

I'll close this email with a quick message about prayer. In my prayers this week, I found myself praying for a variety of things and people, as well as myself. Those kinds of prayers are great, however I learned this week about a higher level of prayer. In the Bible Dictionary (prayer), it states, "Prayer is the act by which the will of the Father and the will of the child are brought into correspondence with each other." Now, the will of the Father is unchanging for us, so the whole point of prayer is changing our will to align with God's. As I was able to achieve this harmony of wills the past few days, I felt more power and sacredness in my prayers. I wasn't asking for blessings I wanted for myself and others, I was asking for the blessings God wanted to bestow upon me and His children. (For more on this, study Enos!)

Volim vas sve! Thank you for your support and prayers, they (plus God's grace) are making the difference!

Feel free to send me an email!
