Week Of Power

Lots of great and powerful things happening this week!

We visited an older lady named Zorica in our branch at the beginning of the week (this was the first time I've ever heard someone start talking in croatian and just go non stop telling us how their day was for 30 minutes haha) It was huge for my language and a really neat opportunity for me to bear my testimony of why I chose to come here and put all my time and energy into learning the gospel and this language. It was a cool moment for the spirit:)

I also helped give a blessing to Gianni this week! I'd never given one in Croatian before but it was another powerful moment for him to exercise our faith and for us to exercise our priesthood. He and Marica actually took us out to lunch which never happens and was so much fun! They seem so much happier and lighter and Gianni came to church yesterday (and marica via zoom) which was another big miracle!

We drove a ways out to Labin to teach a man named Fredi for the first time in person in years, and the lesson went great! We invited him to be baptized and he said that he would come to the baptisms on the 21st and decide then! Vidjet ćemo!

And we randomly met up with a family from America (dad served here 20 years ago) and had fun going to dinner with them and they came to church on Sunday so I got to translate the talks for them! (See pictures)

My spiritual thought for this week is the talk "Self Worth" by Hyrum Smith. It is AMAZING! I tried to write out a short summary but you really just need to listen to it and apply it. Its long but I promise it is worth it! It totally changed how I think of repentance and how, as a missionary, I help others change their lives!

That's all for this week!

P.S. pro-tip don't prank the media elders and switch their super nice laptop with your old one when they're not looking as they board their bus to leave for a week... It does not make for happy media elders :)
