Parties And Priesthood Blessings
Ej bok svima!
While there was a lot of language mistakes and embarrassing moments this week haha, big highlight was Zone Conference! All the missionaries in Croatia met in Zagreb and had an amazing, spirit-filled time! There was a big emphasis on making changes and being creative with our finding efforts (i have been feeling really restricted by online finding recently so this was awesome to hear)! Afterwards, we all went to a park in the blistering heat and spent the day playing soccer, spikeball, volleyball (with the soccer ball) and finally Sister Field's iconic fishbowl game!! We spent the night at the APs apartment and I had a good time attempting to play the guitar haha. It was so good to see some people in my OG district again and hear about all their wild experiences all over the country!
We were blessed to have lots of lessons this week, huge miracle! But two especially awesome moments this week were our branch party and visit to our friend. A few of us met up at the park and ate some good old octopus and fries, played a crazy game of soccer on the gravel, and had a great spiritual thought at the end. Second experience: Our other friend used to be on date but started having doubts and wasn't baptized. When we went to visit him, we made some soup for him and had the chance to talk about priesthood blessings and give him one. It was a special blessing, and he had a really cool personal experience as we gave it to him. Please pray for him so that he will be able to act in faith despite of his doubts!
For my spiritual thought this week, I wanted to talk a little about our mission scripture Moroni 10:32. In this verse we are told to "deny yourselves of all ungodliness". This week I thought about what I could try to take out of my life that was "ungodly", and did my best to remove those things. However, I soon realized that unless we REPLACE those things with something better, we will not grow and improve. It is just as important to sacrifice things as it is to obtain further blessings. So when you decide to take out of your life those things are holding you back, remember to fill the void they leave with "that which is of God". Moroni 7:13 - "But behold, that which is of God inviteth and enticeth to do good continually; wherefore every thing which inviteth and enticeth to do good, and to love God and to serve him, is inspired of God." There is always something we can give up to God, and always something we can add to ourselves to become more like Him!
Also crazy tender mercy, a guy from Germany is coming down to Rijeka today with a new piano for us!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you all for your love and prayers! Feel free to email me, I would love to hear from you!
