True Disciples Of Jesus Christ

Bok svima!

Tuesday, we celebrated President Hachi's daughter, Ariana, who turned one year old! We had a yummy vegan cake and got her and Elena some Frozen toys (their lives revolve around Elsa and Ana haha) and then a bunch of people from the branch showed up and it was a full on party! So much Croatian flying around but it was a blast!!

Funny moment: We had an audit early in the morning and I fell asleep in the middle of it haha. The guy was looking directly at me too (he was talking so fast in Croatian I just gave up haha)

Also bought a fishing rod so I can go fishing this week with a guy I found on Facebook and his buddies! So stoked!! (We're going to pick our own clams to use as bait and go at dawn to try to get some big ones) I'm excited to fish, but also to have a chance to experience the fruits of finding via Facebook and meet some people in person.

Its been great having the Barrus' here with us, they are a great senior couple and have powerful spirits and testimonies. I also got to see the Draper's (from back home) this weekend when they visited from Montenegro! And I gave my first talk on Sunday, which went pretty well!

Ok, that was a lot of random events and things going on, so for the spiritual part:

"May we labor side by side with the Lord of the vineyard, giving the God and Father of us all a helping hand with His staggering task of answering prayers, providing comfort, drying tears, and strengthening feeble knees. If we will do that, we will be more like the true disciples of Christ we are meant to be." -Jeffery R. Holland

^I have thought a lot recently about becoming a true disciple of Christ. In reality, God doesn't need us to accomplish His work. But He still gives the wonderful opportunity to work alongside Him and witness His miracles as we do. Often, however, we allow the work of God to fall behind our long list of chores, jobs, errands etc. I would encourage everyone to make it a priority and put God first. I know that as we do so, we will be filled with charity towards others and God will bless us for our faith. "Wherefore, pray unto the Father...that you may be filled with this love, which He hath bestowed upon all who are true followers of His Son, Jesus Christ." Let us all look past divisions and differences and love and serve those around us. Let us work alongside the Lord and witness His miracles. Let us be "the true disciples of Jesus Christ we are meant to be".

P.S. Baptisms coming up on Saturday! Thank you for your prayers to help make this day happen! There have been real miracles taking place here because of your faith.
