A Successful Missionary
Pozdrav!
Favorite parts of the week:
-Pula trip to visit members and meet up with an investigator, ended up getting 2 additional referalls for Istria while we were there! Huge blessing because the people referred live in the exact places we need people
-English connect (first day of registration was a bust) but were excited to see what happens this week after some more advertising
-Great lessons with some returning members and new people where the spirit was felt and Elder Childs and I felt directly inspired on what to teach and share
*For all my missionary friends out there! :
-This week I got a bit discouraged and I was thinking about what success as a missionary means. I started reading about two of my favorite missionaries, Ammon and Abinadi. I would consider both of these guys successful missionaries, but look at how different their missions were! While Ammon and his brethren found and baptized many, Abinadi served alone, was arrested and killed, and never really knew if anyone even listened. Later, through Alma, many would be baptized. But Abinadi never got to see any of that. So what made him successful? After thinking about it, I think his (and our) success is determined by our exact obedience to God's will. Abinadi never questioned what he was asked to do, never doubted the spirit. He was obedient and submissive to the end. And that was what made all the difference. So don't get discouraged if results don't come right here right now! Obey God's will and follow the Spirit and you will be successful in the end.
Sve najbolje! Feel free to send emails, I would love to hear from any and all of you!
