"We Have All Drunk From Wells We Didn't Dig"...

R&R was a success!! We made it to Zagreb Tuesday and stayed all week since there weren't any flights until Saturday. Needless to say, we had a great time :)

Elder Jones absolutely crushed it in his lesson on the Plan of Salvation, leading the charge and going first. We all learned a lot about the work, becoming better missionaries, and supporting each other on the mission and in life. It was cool to see everyone, from brand-new missionaries to those going home, come together and really try to uplift each other. The Spirit was present through every day.

Once R&R was over, Elder Jones and I stuck around for a couple more days and got to go to some fun activities with the Zagreb missionaries. Game night at the church was awesome, dunking on some 12 year old kids and then playing cover your assets with an Italian guy who would yell or freak out every time someone stole from him haha. (Needless to say, that just motivated us to steal more from him) The next day we got to help do a service project with some amazing volunteers. We cleaned a hillside of trash for about 4 hours and made so many friends. I really have to come to value and appreciate the people who dedicate their time of their own free will to improving everyone else's lives. They really emulate Christ.

For my spiritual thought, I wanted to share a lesson I learned on humility. It starts with this quote, "We have all drunk from wells we didn't dig or warmed ourselves by our fires we didn't build." There are so many instances in my life and on the mission where I benefited from the efforts and labors of other people. Serving in an area where people are already on date to be baptized, for example. I've really realized on the mission that God's hand is ever-present in my life. Sure, I make decisions and work each day. But in the end, it is His love and Spirit that bless us all far more than our efforts could ever requisite. The prophets in the scriptures knew this, as did the Saints and so many others who gave God the glory. And that is why they prospered. It is a great lesson to keep in mind, especially as we pray each morning and evening. There is always so much to be thankful for!
