Light of Christ

Pozdrav!

We have had some great momentum going here in Podgorica, Damir has continued to share his testimony and invite his friends to come and see what he believes which has led to some great opportunities! He is also going to share his testimony and journey online this week so I'll be sure to send out a link next week for that! His story is incredible.

Remember the disabled girl who we stopped to talk to last week? Well this week I was kicking myself for not getting their contact information because they are such cool people, but as we are walking home from basketball with our Ukranian friend, all of the sudden the lady is walking right next to us, pushing the girl in her wheelchair! She remembered us so we laughed and started talking. It turns out she is from Ukraine as well, and then she saw we were holding basketballs and told us she has a friend who is also Ukrainian and is looking for some people to play basketball with! So now we are meeting up with all of them this week. God always has a better plan :)

Spiritual thought:

This weekend we had the wonderful experience of listening to and learning from the leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There were so many good messages, but I wanted to share a couple of my favorite thoughts:

Elder Jeffery R. Holland taught that each of us has light, and that the world today needs as much of it as possible. President Nelson also invited us to end a conflict in our personal lives. These two messages might not seem related at first, but in the context of D&C 88, we can see the connection: "light cleaveth unto light", "and they give light unto each other", and "your whole bodies shall be filled with light". Each of us, given the light of Christ, are meant to lift and strengthen one another, not tear each other down. As we seek to find peace between each other through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, the "light of the world", we will hold up the light of the gospel in a world that needs it so much. Let's seek after that which is good and find the peace and light that the gospel brings to each of us.
