He Will Magnify Our Time
It's been a few weeks, but in short I got transferred to Zagreb and its been awesome so far! I've got a great companion, Elder Devenport, and we've been worked hard. This week was pretty crazy; lots of running around, early morning drives to the airport, meetings, planning, and R&R for the trainers and trainees. The time flew by but we saw so many miracles in the moments between all of the busy stvari.
A member who hasn't had contact with us in years followed a prompting to come by the old church building at the same time we were pulling up to drop something off there and we were able to help him out and he came to church yesterday! We also followed a prompting Elder Devenport received one morning to go talk to a guy from Sudan and he ended up having friends from Salt Lake and wants to meet the missionaries where he lives in Germany! There were so many other moments of service, sharing our testimonies, running into people who had had contact with the church through social media, friends, family, and in so many other ways.
My testimony of the missionary work taking place around the world grew, as did my witness that God truly magnifies our time and efforts. I made mistakes every day, but I also saw God's hand everywhere because I was doing the best I could and relying on Him to qualify me for the work. As Elder Draper taught me, "Time is one of our greatest gifts from our Heavenly Father, and just like any other gift He gives us, He will magnify our time as we consecrate it to Him."
17 "And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.
18 He said, Bring them hither to me.
20 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full."
(Matthew 14:17-20)
