What Matters Most

Just some thoughts from the past few days:

This week was, in a word, busy. We had all the mission leadership come up to Zagreb for MLC, all the new missionaries here for R&R, and a whole bunch of other activities, lessons, meetings, itd.

Amidst all of the craziness, my favorite memories from this week were the small, quiet moments of service and kindness. Sharing a few words of support to some refugees at the bus station. Listening to a friend share their worries. My companion making me laugh. A simple prayer after a long day. Those are the feelings and experiences I treasure when everything is said and done.

I've been on my mission for 19 months now and looking back I realize what things really hold meaning to me: friendship, forgiveness, kindness, service, honesty, love. I continue to learn and live them each day of my mission and will for the rest of my life!
